A wonderful little gem in Smiths Falls. A great selection of very creative sandwiches with several variations. Refer to their menu for the extensive options. Our Lady visit we tried the 'death by bacon' the siryn and 'drunken hippie'.

Cafe Whim: home of the 45 minute sandwich.
My friend and I came here last weekend. It's somewhat an annual tradition when she visits.
We waited at least 45 minutes for our meal. There was one server and there were only 3 or four tables, but my goodness the service was slow!. And the server was forgetful about getting water or a second glass.
Happily the sandwich was worth the wait. I had the chicken sandwich with the jalapeños, havarti and mayo. It was delicious. My friend had the gluten free bun also with chicken. She enjoyed her sandwich.
If you're in a rush, this is not the place for you, but the food is great. -

Just driving through town and needed a place to grab a sandwich for the road. Very nice. Very accommodating. I got a can of iced tea which was disappointing. I thought they'd have fresh tea made. But overall very good experience.

As a foodie who recently moved to SF, I was very excited about this place. I think the pasta at Café Whim is pretty decent but a tad overpriced.
But that's not why it gets one star. I've been trying to go back to enjoy the pasta but every time I try they are either already closed or closing even though their hours are CLEARLY indicated on their website and on their storefront window. How can you run a business if you are never open for business.
Anyways good job café whim, I won't waste my time trying again. If you are looking for a better option nearby, I recommend Chuckles Jack - fantastic food/pasta, friendly owner and always OPEN :) -

Not sure why the negative reviews! Sandwiches and soups are great, and nice selection of local craft beer. Pretty chill atmosphere and the staff has always been very friendly to me. Have not had the pasta but curries were nice. A great spot in SF for casual upscale.
